Many believe that this pairing redefined the understanding of the piaffe and passage. Their freestyle from the World Championships has more than 20 million views on Youtube. One of the most-watched rides in the world

At the 2008 Olympics, Andreas rode Blue Hors Don Schufro to a team bronze medal, the first-ever Danish team medal in dressage at the Olympics.

Some of the world’s best young horses

Besides running Helgstrand Dressage, Andreas Helgstrand has kept his career and training at a maximum. At the 2019 UVM, Andreas won gold with the horse Jovian in the 5-year-old class, silver with the horse Revolution in the 6-year-old class, and bronze with Queenpark’s Wendy.

In 2018 Andreas Helgstrand and Revolution won gold at UVM and won the Danish Championships for Young Horses. There are many more young horses on the way, and Andreas enjoys developing the young talented horses in daily training.

Andreas Helgstrand buys the young promising dressage horses from when they are foals and they grow up at Helgstrand Dressage in Vodskov, where they will also start their career as riding horses. The best horses qualify for the young horse championships in Denmark and for the World Young Horse Championships (UVM).

An example of such a successful combination is the mare Fiontini, who has won gold at the UVM three times and is currently competing in the international grand prix with Andreas Helgstrand in the saddle.
