Young hopeful Danish show jumper

Riding is a family affair for Emil Hallundbæk and his family. Emil grew up in Græsted in North Zealand, where both his parents and his sister share the same passion.

His sister, Clara Hallundbæk, is also an accomplished and talented show jumper, and his parents are internationally renowned names in the sporting world. So it was in the cards that he too would be on horseback one day.

Young riders with talent in Denmark

Already as a very young rider, Emil made a very good impression in Danish show jumping, and as a young rider, he continued to develop to a much higher level of competition and was already prominent among new upcoming talents.

The many years in the children and youth ranks resulted in several Danish Championships and international victories.

If you want to reach your goals, you have to work hard for it, says Emil Hallundbæk, and he has a big dream to become one of the world’s best.

It’s about training and discipline

At 18, Emil decided to make the jump from the comfort of Denmark and moved to Belgium to get closer to the best riders and to develop his talent. Working in a professional stable outside of Denmark, there was room for big dreams with horses and sport alongside others who are full-time competition riders.

Such an opportunity to improve yourself and your horses are fantastic, and it has proved to be the right choice for Emil. He has represented Denmark at several major international competitions and been on the national team in the Nations Cup.

The Show Jumping Academy will show young riders the way

Emil Hallundbæk is associated with Firkløverets Jumping Academy, which is a meeting point for several riders, and where they can develop and improve their skills.

Emil’s success and ambition can help show young riders what it takes to achieve their goals, and he is a huge inspiration to more young academy riders. He wants to pass on his experience to more young riders who, like him, are motivated by working under skilled coaches.

World Championship Herning 2022

At the impressive ECCO FEI World championships in Herning 2022, Emil and the horse Chalisco were selected to represent Denmark in show jumping. Getting the opportunity to jump a World Championship on home soil is something most Danish riders have been working towards in recent years – and with great results in the bag, it has become a reality for Emil Hallundbæk.

Emil and Chalisco rode several great rounds during the World Championships and ended up with an overall team ranking of No. 14 out of a total of 22 teams.
