Jumping with Olympic gold winners

36 different nations have nominated riders for the World Championships in Jumping. And the individual silver winner from WEG in Tryon, Martin Fuchs, and bronze winner Steve Guerdat is again nominated for Switzerland. The USA won team gold at home ground in Tryon, has announced a very strong team for the World Championship in Herning, led by Longines World Ranking No. 8 Kent Farrington and ranking No. 11 Mclain Ward. Also, Jessica Springsteen, daughter of rock legend Bruce Springsteen is nominated for the American team.

The Olympic Champion from Great Britain Ben Maher is nominated, and this is also the case for Scott Brash, both are very familiar with the showground, as they won resp. silver and bronze at the European Championships in 2013 in Herning.

The reigning Olympic Champions from Sweden present the Longines World Rankings No. 2 and 3 – Henrik von Eckermann and Peder Fredricson and their teammate from the Olympics in Tokyo Malin Baryard-Johnsson. Who will complete the Swedish team will be clarified after definite entry on 25 July.

24 nations have entered teams in the team competition.

Strong profiles in dressage

In dressage, 36 different nations are nominated. The reigning champion from WEG in Tryon Isabell Werth is once again part of the German team, though not with Bella Rose, who is retired, but with DSP Quantas. The reigning silver winner Laura Graves from the USA has retired Verdates. Charlotte Dujardin won bronze, and she is nominated with a new horse, Imhotep. Reigning Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl will not be competing as she is pregnant. Instead, the focus is on Denmark’s Cathrine Dufour, who has just cleared the table at CHIO Aachen with 5 victories out of 5 starts.

The reigning World Champions in the team competition and the Olympic Champions from Germany have had some mishaps with some of their top riders, but Germany always comes out strong at Championships. They are clearly part of the fight for the gold medal. The same is the case for the United States, which won silver in Tryon and at the Olympics in Tokyo both times ahead of Great Britain. Denmark is predicted to be a good bid for a medal at home ground, and with the strength, shown by the team in Aachen a medal of the finest carat could be a possibility.

22 nations have entered teams in the team competition.

Several double gold winners ready in Para-dressage

29 nations have announced their participation in Para-dressage. And among them all medalists in the team competition from WEG in Tryon: Holland, Great Britain, and Germany. The strong, double gold winner from WEG in Tryon Sara Morganti (ITA) in Grade I, is again nominated. The same goes for the Austrian top rider Pepo Puch in grade II. In Grade III, the double PL gold winner from Tokyo Tobias Thorning Jørgensen is nominated for Denmark. The double gold winners in grades IV and V from Tryon Sanne Voets (NED) and Sophie Wells (GBR) can also be found on the list of riders in Herning2022.

19 nations compete in the team competition.

Top Volunteers occupy the Boxen

A total of 19 nations have announced their arrival in Vaulting, with a clear predominance of participants in individual vaulting for women (17 nations). The reigning champion for women from Austria is not nominated for the World Championship in Herning, but the reigning World champion male vaulter Lambert Leclezio (FRA) will no doubt give his stunning performance during the Championships.

14 nations have registered a Squad, while 5 nations are represented in Pas de Deux (Austria, Germany, Italy, USA, and Denmark)
