Kingsland Equestrian Named Official Clothing Supplier for Herning 2022!

Around 1,200 volunteers will be involved during the ECCO FEI World Championships Herning (DEN) from 6 – 14 August 2022, and they will be dressed by Kingsland Equestrian, the Official Clothing Supplier for the event.
This partnership goes hand in hand with Kingsland’s core purpose “To outfit, inspire and champion all equestrians.

The equestrian clothing brand, hailing from Norway, will begin designing a bespoke World Championship collection for the volunteers. And an extended version will be available exclusively in the ECCO FEI World Championship merchandise store.

As preparations for the World Championships are in full swing, the Organisers are planning to dress the host facility in Herning and the many volunteers in the official colors of the Championship

Sustainability Focus
The World Championship collection will be created from Kingsland’s popular “Earth Collection,” a 100% recycled material line with sustainability and quality at the core of each item.
– We are incredibly proud to be a part of this unique event, and for Kingsland, it was a completely natural choice to be involved in Herning2022. Our commitment ensures the desired visibility in the sport, but more than that, with the Organisers of Herning2022 prioritising sustainability, this aligns perfectly with Kingsland’s fundamental values. At Kingsland, sustainability is an important focus area both now and for the foreseeable future, says Mette Vester Reymert, sales manager for Kingsland.

Limited Edition Products
Each of the 1200 volunteers will receive their own set of crew clothing, which will consist of multiple products.
In addition, they’ll also receive some products from the official merchandise collaboration. For those who can’t wait until next year to pick up these exclusive items, we’re happy to announce that we have official confirmation that a limited edition of the collection will be released in December of this year.

– We have often collaborated with Kingsland in other contexts, and every single time, they have been reliable suppliers of quality clothing, states Jens Trabjerg, who together with Casper Cassøe is one of the Organisers of Herning2022.
– It is also important that Kingsland offers clothing from their sustainable Earth Collection, as sustainability is part of our goal in organising the World Championship. We know that our volunteers will be very happy to wear the crew clothes during the Championships. We expect Kingsland’s well-known quality and design will tempt many of our guests to bring home parts of the beautiful collection as a memento from the event, Jens Trabjerg concludes.

Herning2022

Cancelled: World Championships for Icelandic Horses

Due to the general uncertainty caused by the ongoing COVID situation and the high probability that not all FEIF member countries will be able to participate, FEIF and the organizing committee have reached the conclusion that the World Championships 2021 cannot be held in the true meaning of a fair competition amongst the world’s best horses and riders. Concerns include health related conditions, and safety for all parties involved, equal accessibility for teams from all countries, and financial security for the organizers, participants and FEIF.

Therefore, and with a heavy heart, the Board of FEIF has taken the decision to cancel the World Championships 2021, and the VM2021 organizing team in Denmark has accepted the decision that ends the dream of a World Championship in Denmark in August 2021.

We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment, not only to the riders, volunteers, exhibitors etc. – but to the entire Icelandic horse community. Be assured that it is not a decision we have taken lightly but there are just too many uncertainties and risks associated with running the event.

We thank everyone for the great support over the past 1.5 years!

All tickets and payments for exhibition stands are refundable minus an administrative cost. Information on the return of payments will be published very soon. Spectators and exhibitors will receive an e-mail within the coming weeks.
Keep updated on www.vmdenmark.com

Take care of yourself, and each other!

With best regards
The Board of FEIF and the Organizing Committee VM2021

In combination, the new partnership will have more than 150 employees, presence in 4 countries and revenue exceeding EUR 60 million. Global Equestrian Group will also include the existing activities in Helgstrand Jewellery, clothing and equestrian sports brand Kingsland Equestrian, and other equestrian venture activities. The majority owner of Helgstrand Dressage, Waterland Private Equity, will support and be a majority shareholder of the newly formed partnership.

“I am excited to enter into this partnership with Helgstrand Dressage and Waterland to accelerate the progress of our companies, create a global equestrian leader and unleash the potential of combining deep dressage and show jumping insights. I look forward to cooperate with my new partners as I will head our activities in show jumping and pursue our growth and expansion plans,” says Ludger Beerbaum, seven-time Olympian and a four-time Olympic show jumping champion and founder of Ludger Beerbaum Stables.

The Riesenbeck International Equestrian Center will be expanded and refurbished this spring to offer 300 permanent stables and new outdoor sand arenas, among other things. Global Equestrian Group will also expand the jumping activities within horse trading, training, rearing and breeding with Ludger Beerbaum Stables as a solid platform to grow the presence in the large and attractive jumping market organically and through acquisitions of reputable stables.

“Ludger Beerbaum Stables has a strong reputation and a stellar sporting track-record in show jumping, and the strategic and cultural fit with Helgstrand Dressage is just perfect. We look forward to combining our experience and diversifying our business activities to cover jumping, dressage and other exciting equestrian activities in existing and new markets alike,” says Andreas Helgstrand, two-time Olympian and Olympic bronze medal winner in dressage, who founded Helgstrand Dressage in 2008.

“We are very pleased to support the emergence of a true global leader in equestrian sports by continuing to contribute with our practical experience and targeted investments in Global Equestrian Group as well as driving new markets and other interesting acquisition opportunities in line with our strategy of accelerating growth organically and through acquisitions,” says Kaspar Kristiansen, Managing Director, Waterland Nordic.

– We experience that the World Championships has made everyone stand together in many ways which is very important in these difficult times. We are really looking forward to the World Championships in August 2022, he states.

Helgstrand VIP Lounge
The agreement between the Herning2022 company and Helgstrand Dressage includes several elements. Helgstrand Dressage will be the naming sponsor for the large VIP lounge inside the stadium – HELGSTRAND VIP LOUNGE, and in addition, Helgstrand Dressage will be the presenting sponsor for all Herning2022 competitions in dressage inside Stutteri Ask Stadium. Helgstrand Dressage will also be presenting sponsor for several of the jumping competitions in the same place.

– We very much look forward to helping to put Denmark on the world map during the World Championships in Herning, Andreas Helgstrand states and continues: – The World Championship is of huge importance to Denmark, and we would like to support creating such a large and accomplished event as possible.

Helgstrand Dressage is setting up a large, VIP Lounge of their own just outside the stadium. It will be used to present the many branches within the Helgstrand Group.
– We will soon start planning an exciting concept for the Helgstrand Lounge. The framework that is being made available seems to be outstanding. Our task will be to take advantage of the opportunities and make Helgstrand Dressage visible during the World Championships. That visibility is clearly important, but it is just as important for us that we help to support the World Championships in Herning, Andreas Helgstrand concludes.
